Basic Drawing/Design

One of the first steps of simple drawings is mastering the art of drawing shapes. The line, circle, triangle, square, rectangle, cube, the cylinder, and the sphere are the fundamental shapes an student must learn in order to achieve a deeper understanding of all forms, when learning to draw.

Elementary/Intermediate Drawing Exam (preparation)

Students are given complete training & guidance for these Drawing Grade Exams. Each level has 6 papers to be attempted.

Are you good at drawing?

Do you want to take up Fine arts or Commercial Arts as a final subject in college? Then surely, you may have heard of Elementary and Intermediate Drawing exams. A lot of us have heard of it but may not know all the details. So today, we are making things easier for you by giving you information about these exams all in one place!

The #elementary and #intermediate #grade #examination was instituted in the year 1880 by the Art Directorate of the Government of Maharashtra. It started with 18 students for the first ever examination, moving onto around 2 lakh students who appear for this examination, every year. These exams were instituted with the idea of encouraging and developing an interest of art education amongst young aspiring individuals.

These examinations are generally held in the latter half of September every year. And only those candidates who pass the Intermediate Drawing Grade Examination are admitted to the specialized higher courses like Commercial Art, Fine Art, and Foundation. While it is not compulsory for other Art courses like Fashion Design, Interior Design, and Textile, having this additional certification does give you an edge over others. In fact, even some IT and other vocational courses give you a preference if you have taken this exam. As per govts new policy From year 2017-18, Candidates who pass Intermediate Drawing Examination with Grade A will get 15 points/extra marks, with Grade B will get 10 points/extra marks and with Grade C they will get 5 points/extra marks.

There is a prescribed age limit for students i.e. 17 years for the Elementary & 18 years for the Intermediate Grade Exam. These exams are held in Maharashtra, Goa, Andhra-Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, U.P. and Delhi. The names of the first 60 successful candidates in order of merit for each of the Grade examinations are announced at the examination centres. This exam is open to any candidate, private or candidates from recognized institutions.

National Aptitude Test in Architecture (NATA) measures the aptitude of the applicant for specific field of study, i.e. Architecture.

The test measures

NATA is also aimed to ensure that eligibility criteria for admission to five year Bachelor of Architecture (B.Arch.) degree course, as prescribed by CoA and duly approved by the Central Government, are strictly adhered to and followed all over the country in Architectural Institutions.

Coaching For NID/NIFT

The National Institute of Design (NID) is a design school in Ahmedabad, India. The institute functions as an autonomous body under the Department of Industrial Policy and Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Industry, govt. of India. NID is recognised by the Dept. of Scientific and Industrial Research under Ministry of Science and Technology, government of India, as a scientific and industrial design research organisation. In 2010 Bussiness Week placed NID in its list of top design schools in the world.

National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) is a fashion institute in India. It was set up in 1986 under the aegis of the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India With its head office in New Delhi, NIFT has total 16 centers across India located at Mumbai, Kolkata, Kangra, Gandhinagar, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore, Raebareli, Patna, Shillong, Bhopal, Kannur, Bhubaneswar, Srinagar and Jodhpur.NIFT offers four-year bachelors, as well as two-year master programmes in the areas of Design, Management, and Technology with total 2800 seats in all the programmes.
